Product reviews of Tend Skin Review: Great product Beauty product: 5 StarsI used to shave my bikini area regularly and got so tired of the razor bumps and ingrown hairs that came along with it so I decided to give Brazilian bikini waxing a try. The results are much more precise, longer lasting and smoother. But I was still getting those big ugly ingrown hairs. So the wax technician gave me a couple sample bottles of TendSkin. There was a noticable difference after 24 hours but I still had quite a few bumps remaining. I don't know if it was because I'm so suspectible to ingrown hairs or because I had so many to start with but it took a couple of months for my bikini area to completely clear up with twice daily application of TendSkin. I also exfoliate my bikini area several times a week - exfoliation will go a long way in preventing ingrown hairs. With the exfoliation and the daily application of TendSkin, the ingrown hairs are completely gone. I now use TendSkin only once a day and that is sufficient. My bikini area has never looked better. My only gripe with TendSkin is the cost - I put off buying a bottle for the longest because it's so expensive. I have one of the small 4 ounce bottles that I found at the less expensive price of $13 but that's still a bit much for this product. I'll continue to buy it because it works but it'd be nice if it were a little cheaper.
And for those who are wondering about the rubbing alcohol smell, I found that on me it disappeared as soon as the TendSkin dried. So don't let the smell of it deter you - if you are prone to ingrown hairs, TendSkin is the product for you. And to help it along, it's also a good idea to exfoliate the area regularly. :)
Review: This is only thing I have found that works for ingrown whiskers Beauty product: 5 StarsAbout 10 years ago, I began getting ingrown whiskers on my neck from shaving. Not only did they not feel good (they'd itch, and were sensitive) but they looked horrible. The front of my neck was red, and I would have horrible red and white bumps all over the skin where whiskers would curl and grow back down into the skin. I was totally self concsious, because it looked horrible. The only thing I could for the longest time was pluck them with tweezers. That took a lot of time, and digging into my skin to pull the hairs was very uncomfortable, and really didn't work that well. I tried switching to an electric razor with little success. I could not have a close shave on my neck without getting the horrible ingrown hairs.
I searched the web for months to try and find something that would work. I found some advice for a few different things, but none worked. I finally ran across a website of a distributor that was selling Tend Skin. By that point I wasn't sure anything would work, but I was desperate for something, so I bought it. I am SO glad I did. It really works when you use it as directed, and you see results by the time you have to shave again.
I apply Tend Skin with a cotton ball or pad to my neck after I shave and dry my face. I will then apply it again in the evening, and repeat each morning and night. It does not take much at all. I always buy the largest bottle for fear that one day Tend Skin will disappear! If you have ingrown facial hair from shaving, you NEED to get this. It is the only thing that I have found the works, and I am 100% happy with it. It is rather pricey, but I never hesitate to buy because it is worth every penny to me.
The only small "complaint" I have about it is that it smells just a tad funny to me. My wife says it smells fine to her, so I don't worry about it. I wonder if they could make it with a slightly nicer smell - or none at all. It really doesn't matter, though, because Tend Skin is AWESOME and I don't know what I'd do without it.
I can't speak to how effective it is for ingrown leg hair, etc. but I would imagine it would work the same.
Review: Nothing Else Works! Beauty product: 5 StarsI have used Tend Skin for around three years now for razor bumps on the bikini line. Before I started using it, I had tried everything else and resigned to the fact that I'd always be stuck with bumps along the bikini line. A friend of mine told me about Tend Skin and swore by it, so I bought a small bottle. It seemed like it was expensive, but that first bottle lasted well over 6 months. It does smell like alcohol at first but the smell goes away when it dries. As far as the other reviews on here, I've only had stinging when I used it IMMEDIATELY after shaving...I think b/c the pores were still open from the shower. For me, it's been a skin saver when I'd already given up the search. I hope that the negative reviews on here don't discourage people from trying it. Everyone's skin reacts somewhat differently. Of the millions of bottles of Tend Skin sold every year, I think the half dozen people on here who didn't like it are the few unhappy rarities, not the average who, like me, thank goodness it's around.
Review: I used to use tend skin Beauty product: 2 StarsI used Tend Skin for a few years and it was the best one that I could find but a few weeks ago I saw a nother product on Amazon called Solution 2 and ordered it instead. I was a little worried because I was getting good results with the bumps with Tend Skin but it burned a lot and dried out my skin quite a bit. Solution 2 is definitely a better product for me with my sensitive skin and it works just as good on the bumps!
