Review: Way too thick!

This stuff is too thick. It goes on like paste. Ive tried warming it up, tried applying it with water on my face, without water on my face, using more product, using less product, still almost impossible to apply. When shaving with it, Ive found if I use a Mach5, its ok. If I use a razor by Schick or a Rolling Razor, it gums up the blades too quickly which leaves to premature dulling of the blades. The reason for all my experimentation, I am still trying to find my ideal shave. Certain razors give me razor burn so I try those and get rid of them, others dont cut well enough, you get the idea. I just really dont like this product. Wal Mart has a better one for a 1.99. Its a lot thinner, still coats your hairs, and smells pretty nice too. Plus, its a LOT cheaper. I hope this helps somebody avoid buying this product. Review: Love this product!!

This oil doesn't irritate the skin and makes shaving so simple and easy!! Allows for a clean shave as well. Review: Okay, but too thick and not slick enough for my tastes

I am regular user of the Art of Shaving shaving creams, but I find their pre-shave oils to be too thick. The end result for me is a slightly tacky/sticky feeling on my beard, not a slick lubricated surface. Review: Won't shave without it anymore

I love this product. I never used preshave oil before, just the standard gel shaving cream from gillete and i'll have to say i missing out on a closer and more comfortable shave. Really a great product,,,and sure i've read plenty of do-it-yourselfers here post reviews about how cheaper it can be if you make the oil yourself. But the same can be true for anything like changing your motor oil, sneaking in popcorn at the movies, bringing your own slice of cheese when ordering a regular hamburger, but personally i'd rather pay a little more for convenience, i've got plenty of other everyday things to worry about than trying to save a little chump change here and there. I've shaved with and without the pre-shave oil for over a month. I notice no difference what so ever. I was hoping this would make my razor glide a bit better, and it definitely didn't help with that. I do like the after shave lotion though.
