I've been a nurse for almost 4 years and I've been searching for the perfect thing for my hands- usually using creams from places like The Body Shop or Bath and Body Works. I'm continually having to either wash my hands with soap/water or use hand sanitizer- infection control is a must!! By the end of the shift my hand are very dry, tight and I'll occasionally have a rash on my wrists. Most lotions moisturize, but that only lasts until my next hand washing. And eventually lotions just burn my skin because it's so dry. I've also been told that a lot of lotions are not compatible with the chemicals in the soap/sanitizer.
TheraSeal works great!! There is no scent so I don't have to worry about not being allowed to use it and I can actually tell that it leaves a protective layer/coating on my hands for 2-3 washes. It also protects my hand from continually having to use hand sanitizer- which used to burn by the end of my shift.
If you are thinking about buying this- BUY IT. I bought a case of 12. A friend at work bought 4 of them off me. I also use them at home and try to keep one at each sink.
