Product reviews of Umberto Beverly Hills U Color Review: Not a good result Beauty product: 1 Stars
I've been coloring my hair successfully with Clairol Herbal Essence Light Golden Brown. It's a pretty amber with some red, and I get lots of complements on it. But it's very hard to find, so when I saw Umberto's Hair Color in topaz, the swatch and the box looked just like the color I use. It's not, but I can forgive that, though they really need to have accurate representation of color. What I cannot forgive is uneven results when I ALWAYS get even results with other hair color. I mixed the three packets in a bowl because I knew I couldn't squeeze the three at once on my head and hope to get even results. Now, after coloring, I have roots that never absorbed the color, and the color didn't take in parts of my hair. But the color itself is terrible. Topaz is apparently a bright coppery orange/red. I'm going to have to do a color correct, and I never get bad results with hair color. This was a first.
Review: color me brown Beauty product: 4 Stars
I have used Clairol's Nice and Easy for many years and like it very much. I wanted to try a Demi color because I have heard they can be easier on the hair. Umberto's U Color is the first Demi color I have tried but I do like it a lot.
It is easy to apply and makes my hair very soft and shiny. I stay close to my natural hair color and as my hair grows there is no dye line as with the Clairol color. I think it is a nice product.
