Review: Not for all skin complexions - but works well

I purchased this product, not so much as an eyeshadow primer, but for something to keep my favorite eyeliner from smudging as quickly as it does. The eyeshadow primer potion surprisingly did the trick; I wear liquid eyeliner and it constantly smudges throughout the day - I end up having to reapply it about four or five times. I didn't want to purchase a new eyeliner because it is my favorite, so I opted for the primer potion instead.
The primer potion is a pale cream colored substance that you're supposed to apply prior to putting on your eye makeup. I did test it with eyeshadow as well and using the potion prior to just applying regular eyeshadow really made the color pop -- the eyeshadow became a much brighter and more vibrant color.
My only problem with the primer potion is that on the back of the bottle it says it's for all skin complexions. It isn't. I have a darker skin tone and even after heavily rubbing the potion into my skin, there was still a light stain around my eyes where I applied the potion. For those with a darker complexion, this may be a problem. The only reason I didn't find it to be a huge concern was because I plan to cover it with eyeshadow anyway; but anyone looking to use this solely for eyeliner or not entirely cover over the potion may run into problems.
Outside of the blending problem, I love the product and would purchase it again. I don't plan to wear any of my eye makeup with out it.

I'm a big fan of makeup, but for some reason had never heard of eyeshadow base. Thank goodness I have! I love using lots of bright colors, and up until I found Urban Decay's eyeshadow primer, I was never able to get eyeshadow colors as bright as it seems like they are supposed to be. This stuff totally works and is really easy to use. I love it! Review: Fantastic!

I have super oily skin, so most of my eyeshadows would crease within a couple hours of application. I didn't think there was a product out there that would stop that. I was SHOCKED when this product worked so well!! My eye shadow stays in FLAWLESS shape, all day long! I even slept with it on overnight and it looked like I had just put it on the next morning. Definitely recommend!! Review: not as great as billed

...however: The "precious genie-like packaging" hides over half of the product from your reach. The only way to get EVERYTHING out of the bottle is to cut it open. There are several how-to videos on youtube to help you out, but that's kinda ridiculous (for the price). The product IS wonderful though, and does everything it claims. I also would recommend Too Faced Shadow Insurance.
