It is a white cream and as far as I can tell has no flavor or taste. I use only the smallest amount and it absorbs into my lips, moisturizes and keeps the sun off my fair skin. It is also great to use under a lipstick or gloss. A friend, with a sunburn on her lips, used some of my Vanicream and fell in love with how well it worked on her dried out lips.
