I bought this Vincent Longo lip stain after reading the great reviews on here, even though there were only five reviews at the time.
When I received the lip stain, I was surprised at how black the color was (I ordered Cupids Breath color), but it went on a very pretty color. I really cannot describe it because if I say it's red, I mean it's not red like the regular lip stick red you buy. I guess it really just enhances your natural lip color. The more you put on, the darker it gets. I love this color though, it's just beautiful.
The only complaint is it's very drying to your lips, and in the winter, that is not a good thing because you do need to buff your lips with a soft towel or brush your lips with your toothbrush if you want your lip stain to go on smoothly. If you don't do this, then it will not go on evenly. Also make sure you only use chapstick, lip gloss, etc. after you put this stain on, if you use it before the stain, then it will not go on evenly. I try not to wear this stain on the days I hang around the house. The reason why is like I said, it's very drying and it is make my lips a little chapped, so I try to give them a break on my days off.
They way I wear this is when I'm brushing my teeth, I brush my lips also. Then I apply very tiny smear of vaseline to my lips, then I rub it in well so that it won't affect my lip stain. Then I apply my lip stain. You do have to rub off any stray marks quickly if you accidentally miss your lips because it will stain and you will look like a clown LOL.
The best thing about this stain is it does last most the day, and I can see the tube lasting a very long time because I hardly use any at all, and of course one of the best things about this stain is the fact that when I drink from the white styrofoam cups from work, there is no lipstick mark on it!
