These are great candles and make great gifts because they are packed so nice.
The candles burn evenly and nice and slowly. The scents are great! Natural smelling and strong enough but not overwhelming in any way. I can burn one of these on my first level and scent the whole floor unlike most other candles where I need to burn multiple candles to get the same level of scent...
So yes, they are more expensive than candles you can get but when I burn this one, its the only one I need to burn at a time... with cheaper candles I dont really end up savings because I am burning several at once.

After reading the great reviews of the votivo candles I decided to spend the rediculous sum of $24 on a moroccan spice candle.When I received the candle I smelled sweet spice coming from it even before I opened the packaging.Readying myself for a rocket of rich fragrance immersing my room in exotic spice I hopefully lit the candle.After about an hour of the candle being lit I came into my room and it scented only about 3 feet around the candle.Dissapointed, and perhaps to prove that there was absolutely no way I didn't get jacked on this purchase I lit it again-this time for 3 hours.There was still no smell.Compare this with the $6 'tea' candles I bought from the Gold Canyon Candle Co. which when I lit 6 of them richly scented not only my room (which is about 13' 13') but the hallway, as well as my mothers room next door (16' 16')!If your thinking that maybe the $22+ dollars would be worth it for the exotic fragrances-think again as there was nothing special about the scent that you couldn't get from the grocery store. Jipped-you bet! Review: Great gift item...

Ordered two of these candles as gifts (Red Current & Moroccan Fig). They come carefully packaged in a nice box, and the candle is in a clear glass voltive. Red Current is a more perfumey scent with an undertone of fruit, while the Fig is sort of sweet-earthy. A good housewarming/hostess gift. Review: Excellent Candle

These babies fragrance the room even when they're not lit, and fragrance my entire house when they're actually burning. Long burn time, too: 25 to 30 hours at least.
All smell lovely but Red Currant, Christmas Sage (might be seasonal only, which is sad because it is a lovely scent for year-round burning!) and Moroccon Fig are my favorites so far.
