Product reviews of X3 Clean Hand Sanitizer Mini Spray, 12-Count .27-Ounce Bottles Review: It Takes Time to Get Used to Spray Beauty product: 3 Stars
A friend gave me a nearly-empty bottle of a proprietary hand sanitizer spray, and I liked the compact nature of the dispenser. I have a job that brings me in contact with "vulnerable populations" in nursing homes and hospitals. I purchased the 12-count X3 package from Amazon so I could keep a dispenser handy in the car.
This is a "point of sale" package, so the 12 bottles are neatly arranged in a cardboard display. This made it easy to store them with other household supplies. Each bottle is individually blister-packed on a cardboard backer.
The "X3" solution is based on benzalkonium chloride. It dispenses like water, in an atomized spray. It is odorless and leaves no trace behind on the hands.
While it is said to be effective, it requires several sprays from the pump dispenser, and the solution evaporates very quickly. This creates an awkward situation: the user must use one hand to operate the spray button, then quickly drop the dispenser in order to rub both hands together. In most trials with this product, I have not been certain that I got the solution dispensed in sufficient quantity, or dispersed over my hands for a long enough time to be effective.
A user who is switching from a "waterless hand sanitizer" gel might experience similar awkwardness. While you might eventually reach a level of competence with this product, I'd really like to see a solution with a little more "persistence" packaged in the same spray bottle.
Review: not worth it Beauty product: 1 Stars
Product is hard to remove from package. Also, rounded bottom so they will not stand up. Out of the package of a dozen, 2 came broken. I would not purchase again.
