Review: Usage
Beauty product: 5 Stars

As with any product, you have to give it time to experience results. I have used this product religiously in the past two months and have seen it do it's work. Although, minor improvements have been made, it does take time (up to one year) before you can significantly see drastic changes. Fungus is a hard thing to get rid of. Just as it takes time to grow under your nail, it will take time to clean from your nail. I recommend it and i would rather do this than take some prescribed drugs with a ton of side effects. That's just me!

Review: Works fantastically if used properly
Beauty product: 5 Stars

This product will seem like a miracle if you've had discolored nails for a long time and nothing else has worked. It works fantastically, but you need to use it properly. The most important thing is that you absolutely must apply it at least twice per day. I tried it once per week, then once per day, each without much success, so the twice-per-day instructions on the bottle aren't there just to make you use up the product so that you can re-order; twice-daily really is crucial for the product to to do its job.

Secondly, I believe that it's most important to apply the gel along and under the cuticle, since that's where new nail grows from. Pull back your cuticle, if you can, while you're applying, so that you get the gel as close to the nail source as you can. Put the gel all over the nail, but really focus on the cuticle, which is most important. When you're done, don't put socks on for 10-15 minutes, just to make sure that it has some time to sink in before anything threatens to soak the gel up. Finally, with really stubborn nails, try to add a third application, if you can remember, just to increase your odds.

Be prepared to repeat all of this for months. Toe nails grow very slowly. It can easily take 3-6 months for them to go through an entire cycle. By doing what I've recommended, you should, after a few days, be able to spot a very thin line of clear nail right at the cuticle. Over the next days, weeks and months, you'll see it move toward the tip of your nail, leaving clear nail behind it. Even then, continue applying gel at the cuticle to ensure that the fungus never returns.

This product does its job really well. Don't be scared off by the price. It's worth every penny because it's so effective and because the bottle lasts a really long time. Just be prepared to commit yourself to applying it frequently, properly and over many months. It'll work like a miracle for you if you do.

UPDATE: While Nonyx cleared up my nails greatly and completely cured a few of my toes, I wasn't quite able to get rid of the fungus completely on a few of my more stubborn nails. Earlier this year, I decided to look into alternative remedies in an effort to find a solution for clearing up the rest and doing so more cheaply than Nonyx. I tried tea tree oil and Vicks Vapo-Rub, both of which have been highly recommended by online users for toenail fungus. The tea tree oil actually seemed to make things worse, so I didn't stick with that very long. The Vicks Vapo-Rub, which I've applied for two months, seems to have positive results, but it's hard to tell because it works much, much more slowly than Nonyx. Instead of new, clean nail growing in within a few days (like with Nonyx), the Vicks very slowly fades out the existing fungus over the course of months. I'm pretty sure that it's working, but it doesn't compare to Nonyx's near instant results, so I'll probably go back to Nonyx. It's expensive, but it's easier to tell that it's working. Maybe, since I have so much unused tea tree oil and Vicks Vapo-Rub, I'll employ a three-pronged attack and see how effective that is.

Anyways, I guess that the lesson here is that what works for someone else may not work for you (or work as well). It's possible that Nonyx may not work for you, so please don't be upset with me if it doesn't. It's the best that I've used, though, so it's what I still recommend. Some of you may have more success with tea tree oil or Vicks Vapo-Rub, so you may want to look into those. If you're like me, though, you may end up (back) with Nonyx. Try all three... just don't make my mistake and buy too much, as you may end up with a lot of unused product if one doesn't do the job for you.

Review: Works!
Beauty product: 5 Stars

NonyX works but don't have unreasonable expectations. I've been using it for 4 months and some days I forget to put some on when in a rush, but it has caused no setbacks. The yellowing of nail itself and under the nail caused by the keratin build up is decreased with frequent use. I still have more than half a bottle as I only needed it for one toe. The only down side is no nail polish but that's not so bad now that it's clearing up. It would benefit you to have a nail file to slightly roughen the nail for better adherence and a brush to scrub and a little exfoliation of your feet for good feet hygiene. Worth the price and with patience you'll have great results.

I bought this for my father, who has problematic toenails since he was in his early 20s. He used Nonyx before and it was the only nail fungus product that helped treating his old condition (he's now over 50). His nails used to be all infected and in very extreme condition and he never worn sandals in the summer because he was embarrassed of how his nails looked. Now his nails are back to normal!
Couple of things:
- if you have advanced stage of nail infection do not expect recovery in couple of uses. It's going to take a time but results are amazing.

- (I am not sure if the description talks about it) this gel works on skin too - if you have rough and cracking (even to the point of bleeding)skin on your heels - this will take care of it very fast.

Also, I'd like to add that the price is good.

Review: aloe and vinegar
Beauty product: 2 Stars

NonyX works!... but this product is nothing but a combination of brown vinegar and some thickner. I found out this information on a home remedy site for foot fugus and it's true. i made my own solution with cider vinegar (white vinegar will not work) aloe & a drop or two of tea tree oil.
Ethanoic acid is the prime ingredient of NonyX. Look this ingredient up on a google search if you you don't believe me. I have used NonyX in the past and always thought it smelled like vinegar it works excellent but way too expensive that's why i'm giving it 2 stars
